干整个词的一些其他默示要领和用法

Student B: It’s World Animal Day.
Teacher：Very good！Let’s read this short story. And pay attention to the pictures in it.
“How Many Legs?
Many animals have legs.
These animals have two legs.
These animals have four legs.
These animals have six legs.
These animals have eight legs.
These animals have ten legs.
How many animals do these animals have?”
Teacher: Now answer my questions. How many legs does a penguin have?
Student C: Two.
Teacher: Can you write a maths problem with the animals legs? For example: 4-2=2 Four minus two is two. You can explain as the following：An elephant has four legs. A crane has two legs. An elephant has two more legs than a crane.
Student D: 4+6=10
Student F： 2x4=8
Student G:8-6=2
Student H: 4÷8=0.5

1. hundreds of等默示不祥情的数。在数词后头+s 默示不祥情的数。
It has hundreds of legs.
又如： thousands and thousands of（比比皆是）
hundreds(thousands) upon thousands of（比比皆是）
They arrived in twos and threes.（他们稀稀拉拉地来了）
He is in his forties.（他四十多岁。）
It happened in the 1950s.（这事发生在二十世纪50年代。）
dozen(12) dozens of（好几十）
score(20) scores of（好几十，成百）
2. 有些干整个词的读法
贪图：4-2=2 Four minus two is two.
又如：
6+6=12 Six plus six is twelve.
6 x 2=12 Six times (multiplied by) two is twelve.
6÷3=2 Six divided by three is two.

细巧：few， little 默示含糊兴味， a few， a little默示驯服兴味：
